Prineville

A tight-knit community with rustic roots and innovative industries

Welcome to Prineville

East of Bend, Prineville is a small, close-knit town in the high desert. Once a timber town, Prineville’s spirit and style still reflect its old West beginnings. Although its early days may have been humble, this flourishing community is home to rapidly growing technology opportunities and industry. Facebook and Apple both have data servers here and Les Schwab Tires calls Prineville home.

Prineville’s tight-knit community is proud to support locally owned shops, which thrive here, as well as concerts in the park and rodeos. The attention and expansion don’t affect the town’s heart — Prineville still has that small-town feel and strong community spirit, making this an ideal home for families and retirees. With modest farmhouses, Old West-inspired estates, and even spacious acreage on which to build your dream house, Prineville is the perfect place to set down roots.

Things to Do

Play a round at the Meadow Lakes Golf Course and stop in at Ron’s, the course cafe for a lunch of classic American fare, or pack a picnic and explore the Prineville and Ochoco Reservoirs

The State Parks located on both the Prineville and Ochoco Reservoirs are among the most heavily used in Oregon and you can treat yourself to activities like swimming, boating, hiking, wildlife viewing, and of course, taking in all that spectacular scenery. Learn about the rich history of the West at Prineville’s Bowman Museum, an interactive collection of early pioneer history.
